We like to say at Aarambh, “Values cannot be taught. They can only be caught!”

For us, our core values of Respect, Commitment and Empathy are not something that lives in our brochure or our website. Each of these values comes alive in our classrooms and within the Aarambh community as a whole!

Every lesson that a teacher plans for her class has these values deeply embedded within them. And they come alive during the day in various ways, whether it is through truly immersive Story Telling Sessions, or during Circle Time!

Let us explain through a small example:

In Nursery, teachers are enacting a story where a mother comes very tired from the office. The teacher asks the children a question, “Why do you think our dad and mom work so hard in the office?” After a lot of discussion, some children answer, “To earn money”. The story then moves to a scene where the father wakes up early to fix the child’s tiffin for school (Because its 2024 and fathers cook lunches too!)

After being immersed in the story that teachers are enacting, there is a very animated discussion where all students participate and the teacher pushes children to think! And then one child says, “Ma’am, I don’t think we should leave food, because mom and dad work so hard to make it possible for us!”

Imagine this happening inside all classrooms, each day, every day! It is with this hope that our team wakes up every day that our kids will grow up and make the world a better place to live in!
